| All DMS Partner Hotels are members of the Company's Group Purchasing Scheme (GPS)
The benefits at property level of GPS membership include,
- Provision of "best practice" through high purchase volumes and an intensive tender process
- Identification of particular areas in each Partner Hotel that require additional focus
- Reduction in purchasing costs and attainment of maximum margins, achieved by the close working relationship between the DMS Purchasing Department and each Partner Hotel
- Achievement of improved Partner Hotels' gross operating profits without compromising product or service
- Quality control of products purchased
- Traceability of food purchases back to the farm through a detailed HACCP system
- Regular audits of current and potential supplier premises
- Low inventories at property level, maintained through regular deliveries
- Consistent benchmarking of laundry and utility costs
- Reciprocal business from suppliers to the Partner Hotels, e.g. accommodation, meetings, etc is actively encouraged
- Provision of supplier support for Partner Hotels' special events and marketing campaigns
